ISO 50006:2014 provides guidance to organizations on how to establish, use and maintain energy performance indicators (EnPIs) and energy baselines (EnBs) as part of the process of measuring energy performance. The guidance in ISO 50006:2014 is applicable to any organization, regardless of its size, type, location or level of maturity in the field of energy management.
The key result expected from EnMS implementation is energy cost saving achieved to better energy management. It is supper critical to have an appropriate baseline and indicator to ensure our energy saving is measurement and verifiable

KEY FEATURES
ISO 50006 provide step by step guidances to establish energy baseline, to determine EnPI and to use and update EnPI appropriate to the company energy system. The Guidelines ask companies to define its EnB boundary first than identify the energy data and the significant variable that influence the energy consumption. Companies should consider the needs of the EnPI users and select the most suitable EnPI type. ISO 50006 introduce type of EnPI started with the most simple annualized energy consumption, rasio type EnPI which do not consider multi variabel and baseload, regression formula which mostly suitable for baseload and multi variabel consideration , and the most advance engineering model for non linear correlation of energy and variabel.
ISO 50006 guided industry to test their baseline before used it to evaluate energy performance. Such normalization might be required when static factor or other condition significantly deviate between the baseline and the actual condition. Energy performance indicator is the result of EnPI value compare to baseline.
